Since having this, cheat recall applied I've had no end of issues, my car now tells me release parking brake when I blip the throttle, not that it's in gear at that moment. Now they've related the glow plugs, yet the same problems occur ed again a few months later and I'm told the whole fuel system is corrupted and needs replacement. Corrupted with what they won't say but today it's gone into exactly the same limp mode, starts flashing the glow plug light then the engine management, this may well disappear again tomorrow but isn't a software issue, yeah right.

Why did you have the recall applied ?

Why did you have the recall applied ?It was sent on DVSA paperwork with no mention of being voluntary, basically I was fooled by a manufacturer who had hidden the cheat in the first place, 1.1 million cars and 1% affected, roughly 17000 cars.

Maybe you can reflash it with the older firmware?

Sent from my Redmi Note 4 using TapatalkIt's going back to VW tomorrow and they can get rid of this spurious command or replace the ecu, either way until it works as it should I'm not accepting it. Over 17000 folk in the UK have had issues since this was actioned.

I think I have read that dealers are unable to restore the firmware for legal reason and the inability to get the original/old code from the manufacture once done (I may be wrong)

You can try Expert Tuning, and sponsor of the site VW Audi Forum - The #1 (http://www.vwaudiforum.co.uk/forum/showthread.php/186011-Important-Information-for-Emissions-Update-owners-Return-to-Original-service?p=1077860#post1077860) Volkswagen (VW) Forum Dedicated to the whole Volkswagen (VW) Group
