A5 Sportback 3.0 218 bhp Quattro

It's time to trade in my 2.0 diesel sportback for a new one and I'm seriously thinking of a 3.0. Has anyone got any experience of these and the fuel economy? The quoted combined mpg of 58.9 (combined) is clearly a joke.

I’ve had mine for a year now and have averaged around 34mpg since I got it mainly on short trips to and from work. On a long run it averages over 50mpg at 70! I used to have a 2.0tdi Quattro and am constantly surprised how much more efficient it is plus it has loads more power too. Overall would not hesitate to recommend and would certainly have another
