Head Unit/Sat Nav/Apple Car Play

Hey guys,

New here! Searched and searched for the answer to this but to no avail.

Car: 59 Plate A4 B8 2.0 Tdi MMI 2g

I would like to either swap the head unit for an aftermarket one (decent one) that has apple car play. But the problem is then the MMI screen. How do i change the settings on the car?

OR

Can I replace the system and upgrade it to a 3G system or a sat nav system?

Anyone any tips?

Basically I want to play music through my car via Bluetooth and be able to change the track using my steering controls!

Google search is key to positive results!

Not sure, but I have not seen good android unit for mmi 2G, if all you want is bt music stream, check out dension,carlink,vns media etc...

Some info here regarding bt stream 2g and 3g:Audi-A2DP FAQ - AUDI MMI 2G/3G BLUETOOTH MUSIC STREAMING (https://www.audia2dp.com/faqs.html) not sure will it give steering button control also.

3G retrofit, for many people pointless and expensive...up to you, web full of retrofit threads, as it is 2018 and if you jump to 3G, price difference is more less none, so recommended to 3G+ jump only :).

Noup, 2din old type(rnse etc) units are not for B8!

Btw, do you have AMI in glovebox?
