Interesting question considering the design on your car was revised for cars built from September 2009 so finding out your cars build date would be interesting, They are a bit tight to change, the usual arm and knuckle scratching exercise, but the new unit for a CBAB engine is part number 03L 121 111 M and is only £39.98 from Audi.

Hi crashes it's very tight to get into wonder if you have to take the alternator off to get to it or something else

Yes, it makes it easier but it means the job takes longer, you just loose less skin.
