I have a 2016 A4 S line and have had a few problems recently, has anyone experienced any of the following?
When I bought my car, an ex demonstrator it stop started as I expected, it has not done so for many months apart from half a dozen times in August. My dealer says there are no fault codes and it could be due to load. They say there is nothing wrong therefore nothing to fix. However it doesn't work!
The presense applied the brakes for no obvious reason and the fix was a software update and reduce the sensitivity.
The sat nav in the virtual cockpit lost the road, for up to 10 miles on one occasion. The loss of the road was on motorways and A roads, and happened in the same places. In total there were about a dozen places where the road was lost. The solution was to remove Google maps.
I feel that the fixes are fudging the issues and the map in particular is inferior to the maps I had since I bought the car a year ago.
Finally is it normal to have to wait a month for a warranty appointment?

I had the same problem where the sat nav lost where it was on my 2016 A4 S line. The local dealer at first was very sceptical about the complaint but then the Service Manager was in the car when it happened. Their first course of action was to replace the antenna but that was not the answer. In the end they replaced the coaxial cable between the antenna and the unit. Bisto, no more problems.

Thanks, the problem with my sat nav was it knew where I was but lost the map in the virtual cockpit but not on the main screen. I now have a map that now works but changes colour form dark green almost black background to pale green and back again and did so 3 or 4 times on a 20 mile journey. When it is dark green built up areas are a murky brown, the pale version a sort of pinkish beige.
They were going to replace the virtual dash but I don't think they did, they removed Google maps instead.
What I have is nothing like the brochure picture or any advert I have seen recently for an Audi sat nav.
Does anyone have this version in their car?

I've read (i think it was in this forum) that google maps does not work too well with the Audi, possibly due to network connection issues - so if the network drops out for a bit you will lose the maps. I guess this is why the dealers remove google maps, to leave you with the Audi built in sat-nav maps.

Thanks for your reply, from your reply it appears I am not alone in having google maps removed. Surely this down specs the car significantly as a lot of the features need google maps. My car now has no google maps, stop start that hasn't worked for months and presense that cannot be used on the most sensitive setting.
In a journey yesterday I had no less than 3 versions of the map appear, one fleetingly, but random changes in colour, all with little or no detail beyond the road. The brochure refers to 3d maps etc that seems to have gone with google maps.
At what point does the car become a different spec to that paid for?
