Reving up..

Hi all,

I'm new around here so please forgive me if this is a duplicate post or in the wrong place! :Blush:

I have recently aquired an audi TT, it's an april 2003, 1.8 225 quattro, coupe.
When i start it up in the morning, it seems to rev the engine without me touching the accelerator. It only does it once or twice then settles down. Is this normal behaviour?

Hi, fault is consistent with several possibilities. 1 small air leak on intake system which closes up as engine warms, 2 sticking idle control system, 3 coolant temp sensor. Best get a code read for further checks. Regards, phil
