Engine won’t stop

My wife went to stop the engine in her TT today (2016 1.8 Sport) and she couldn’t. She tried moving forward and back and it still wouldn’t stop. The only solution was to stall the engine. It has behaved itself since then.
Anyone else seen this?

The car wouldn’t start yesterday. The switch seemed like it was stuck. As I opened the door the ignition came on. I managed to eventually start the engine and stop it again. Called Audi Roadside Assist and within 20 minutes a technician turned up. He ordered a replacement switch and came back this morning to fit it.
Can’t complain about that service!
