G13 pink or purple ?

Hello All,

Bought a brand new A3 150 COD last November.

Noticed the coolant was nearing the minimum line so have called Audi to check which coolant I should buy = G13.

Bought some TripleQX G13 from ECP but I notice this appears light purple in the bottle but the coolant in the car is pink.

Can I mix the two ?

UPDATE:

Just picked up a 1.5ltr from the Audi dealership and it's purple lol - asked the guy in parts why the car's is pink ... he had no idea.

Is it possible that the Audi factory have used a G12 variant, hence the pink ?

Yeah didn't find it too helpful.

Spoke to a girl at work who got her brand new A1 a year before and her coolant is pink as well.

I realise G12 and G13 are compatible so I'm thinking they're using G12++ at the factory maybe.

Not gonna worry too much but just seemed strange.

UPDATE:

Just tested the VW / Audi G13 I bought and even though it looks purple on the bottle (has the purple cap too), once it's poured out and diluted it miraculously becomes pink.

The ECP cheaper version of G13 is almost the same colour just slightly more purple lol.

It's times like this I miss my K reg Rover 214si ... nah, not really lol.
