Caddy 2014 CAYD engine turbocharger failure

As per title 2014 CAYD engine Caddy van turbocharger failure total seizure ... anyone seen it before. It's only done 40000 with full service history.

Coincidental, I was talking to a person only last week who had same problem with a 1.6D Caddy, not sure of engine code,It was just out of warrantly.
So your problem is not unique.

Thanks for the reply. I will have it stripped out tomorrow and see what i find as the cause.

Well the turbo is out. Can just about turn the shaft with a pointed screwdriver. Air supply and oil supply are great and actuator is working perfect . Can only be poor quality turbo or manufacturing defect.
