Puddle lights

Was having a walk round the Touareg in the night looking at the lights and noticed when I opened the rear doors they don't have lights at the bottom like the front ones do. Is this normal for an R line? Only got it Saturday. It's a 2015 plate.

Yeah normal...reflectors only in rear doors unless the car has the ambient light pack.

I am about to be the owner of a 2016 R-Line, collecting Thursday.

Just curious on this if the rear reflectors cover the wiring and if so can aftermarket/replacement puddle lights be added to the rears or would that require programming?

It's possible to fit them but there's no wiring present either so that would need to be installed too.

Likely to be connected to the door controllers but you would have to check out a wiring diagram for the optional ambient lighting.
