Has anyone else encountered android auto not working on new 2017 A4 Avant. I cannot connect my phone to work correctly. I can pair to call and answer calls but apps will not run through mmi.

Has anyone else encountered android auto not working on new 2017 A4 Avant. I cannot connect my phone to work correctly. I can pair to call and answer calls but apps will not run through mmi.Do you have it connected via USB lead under the arm rest, and do you have Android Auto downloaded on to your phone?

Think some permissions on the phone also need to be accepted first time.

Tried all that. 6 different cables and two different phones.

Just spoken to Audi UK and been informed it's a software issue outwith their control. Third party update being worked on. Only affects certain cars between a certain date's

I assume you've asked them what they intend to offer by way of recompense?...

I've got 2017 A4 avant. Phone connects to car but android auto does not start.

In my car, Android Auto sometimes starts, sometimes not. It seems to work best if I plug it in before turning on the ignition

I've tried everything but nothing works. All phones on latest software and all on original cables. Still waiting for update from Audi.

My A4 is May 17 build with Tech pack and the Android Auto works fine with my Samsung S7. I've tried it with various cables and it does not seem sensitive to it and works with different ones. If there is something anyone would like checked, just let me know.

Same here, though ANdorid Auto always runs on the phone, but car usually says that no compatible device is connected. Occasionally it all works OK.

Contacted director of Audi UK last week and after speaking to executive team i was told to expect a return call to update me on the issue. Surprise surprise I'm still waiting.
