Does anyone know of an independant dealer in south wales / west birmingham area who can put a replacement 130 pd tdi engine into a seat ibiza (tdi sport model)?
Any idea how much it would cost?
The car suddenly lost power, with white smoke out the back. (Done 47k).
When I stopped and checked the oil level it was v low (below dipstick). However I checked the level 2 weeks prior and it was fine. The engine restarted when I rolled her forward in gear. Still seemed sticky though. Next time starter could not turn her over.
I suspect a seized engine. Any other thoughts from anyone. This is the last in a long line of problems I have had with this car. Suggest you keep clear of seat. May be VW bits but we are still relying on the espanish to put them together!:1zhelp:
