headlight removal

Hi, after days of searching i have now found a long shafted T30 screwdriver to remove my headlights but after undoing 3 screws i still can't remove the headlight ? (to replace side bulds for leds) can anyone help ???? thanks, mark.:1zhelp:

You have to remove the front bumper,to remove the headlight

On the b6 there's four screws, 2 at the front and two at the rear. Can be hard to spot. No idea if the b6 & b7 are the same to remove.

I dont think you have to remove the whole headlamp to change sidelights ?!! Have a look in the car's owners manual for the right procedure.

Owners manual will probably say to take to dealer. If you look on b6 forum there is a how to guide for changing light bulbs. As i posted earlier not sure if b6 and b7 are the same to change.

You don't need to remove the headlight to change the bulbs for LEDS. See this excellent post:

Hi,

Take a look at the B6 Section, at the top of the section there is a sticky post with a guide on how to replace the headlight/sidelight bulbs.

it should be the same for the B7

Hi did you manage to change the head light in the end?
Did you have to remove the bumper?
Your advice would be appreciated as im thinking of changing my headlight unit.
