Hi all,
New user, first post, hello!
I picked up a 63 plate Black Edition (Ibis White) recently and bought the 118bhp engine intending to get a remap; I've been in to see a local garage this week who offer a Shark remap currently at a 25% discount (£299) until the end of May which seems a bargain. They've advised the remap would take the car to 200bhp which is perfect, having had an '04 Civic Type R for the past 7 years the drop in engine power is pretty noticeable and it'd be great to take it back up to what i'm used to!
All the searching I've done so far points in the direction of Shark/Bluefin/Revo as options but a lot of the topics are a few years old now so thought i'd raise the topic on here and see what the feedback was like. Again, searching tells me the standard internals, turbo and clutch will handle the 200bhp but i'd be keen to hear if anyone says otherwise!
I like the idea of being able to revert to the standard ECU map when needed or when the time comes to sell but, as I tend to hold on to cars for a few years, this isn't at the top of the priority list.
Any advice?!
