Hello Everyone
I've got a problem with my car when i apply the brakes slowly. Not an issue when braking heavily
Under braking when the car gets to about 45mph there is a judder and then it goes away when i get down to about 25mph.
I had this problem when i bought this car and was told the brake disc was "warped". I therefore got the local VW indy mechanic to check this out and he suggested i get the front discs and pads replaced as the disc was bent, which i did however 2000 miles later the problem has risen again but not as bad as it was previously.
Any help would be much appreciated in the meantime i'm going to take it back to mechanic to get it checked again sometime next week
Many Thanks in advance

If changing the brakes fixed the problem in the short run, I'd be looking at the same thing again....
Might be worth checking the bushes as well. If you get a wobble on fairly hard acceleration as well, bushes could be at fault. I know mine need replacing asap.

Surely the can't need replacing again after 2000 miles?

Depends if you've warped them. Brake discs warp if you've fitted the wrong ones, or you use them excessively in short periods (the build up of heat does this) - Something to check.

Especially so if you then proceed to drive through a puddle (quick cooling) This is also why it is said never put cold water in a hot engine.
Did the dealer fit genuine VW discs ?

The LION Garage in Leicester fitted them. They are a well know VW, AUDI indy.
The car is in today for them to have a look so i'll post an update later on.

Also, worth checking the wear rate on the pads and discs. Get the mech to check the pistons in the calipers to see if anything seizing. You should be able to get seal replacement kits for the calipers.

I ended up replacing the callipper. However problem resurfaced four years later at which point I sold the car
