Ambient lighting grayed out

Hey, I enabled ambient lighting through the hidden menu on my MMI 2G High, yet it is grayed out?

Any advice on how to sort this out?

Do you have all the required lighting?

If you're thinking about the footwell lights, they are background lighting, not ambient.
