Front Grill Compatibility ? Cabriolet 1.8TFSI

Hello I need to replace the damaged front grill on my A3 Cabriolet 1.8 (September 2008)
eBay is an obvious source but can somebody tell me whether the cabrio grill is the same as other model as regards fit.

Yes any A3 from 2009 onwards the grills are the same. There may be differences between S3 and RS3 grills however on SE, Sport and S-Line vehicles.

I notice you've said 2009 and my vehicle is 2008 ( September) so I assume it would be a "2009 model" ?
So the grill I need would be a "post facelift" one if I'm looking to source it from a vehicle that has another body style ?

Well I purchased a grill on eBay based on this advert

Here is the picture they showed....based on what you've said there was a design changed from MY 2009 onwards....so this grill couldn't fit all models between 2003 - 2012 ?

Your convertible will be MY09, the grill you've purchased is incorrect for your car :(
