Hi folks I'm new to this forum and hope someone can help me. I have a mk5 golf TDI with a Dsg gearbox code hql trying to find info on comparability with other codes. The box is shot well the Mechatronic is shot actually.

I can get my hands on a used low mileage box from a Skoda Octavia the car has the same engine 20 TDI but the gearbo x code is HFQ. I know it will fit in the golf but will it be compatible. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Cheers
