Morning all,

Recent member and first post, I have spent the last 3 hours searching the forums and remain more unsure than ever. Your help would be greatly appreciated as follows.

I have just purchased a completely stock 2010 A4 B8 170 S-line, sitting on 19x9 ET43 RS4 alloys with 255/35/19 tyres.

I want to improve the physical appearance of the car without going OTT.

The wheels are immaculate (and Audi originals) and the tyres are brand new, so I don't want/need to change either of them this year.

Do I go for 8mm spacers all round, bringing me to the ET35 offset which seems to be the majority favourite (and maximum given I have 255 tyres), or do I forget the spacers and go with Eibach pro springs and simply drop an inch ?

I don't want rubbing and usually have 2 kids in the back.

All advice welcome.

Whats the RS4 set-up?

Forgive my ignorance but what exactly do you mean ? The RS4 alloys are 8.5x19 ET 43.

I'm toying with the idea of 8mm spacers all round but can't seem to find them on t'internet.

you wont get less than 13 mm or thereabouts for a hubcentric spacer, so 26mm in total as its usually measured as a pair, total overall width.

It is actually proving very difficult to find 8/10 mm hub centric spacers anywhere (at a reasonable price). Can find 57 bore but not the 66 bore applicable to the A4 B8.

I'm thinking of just forgetting the spacers, sell the RS4's and get new et35 rims.

to be hubcentric they must be deeper than the depth of the centre hub that the wheel sits on. thats just the way they are made.

Are you talking about RS4 alloys or Le mans 19 inch alloys? If you are referring to the S-Line 19 inch optional upgrade allots they will be 8.5J
