Sat Nav Database Upgrade

Hi all,

The nav desperately needs updating in my 2014 A7.

What are my options? Dealer only I assume, how much will they charge?

The new estate where I live isn't even showing [emoji1]

I updated mine earlier in the week to 2017 maps i think its 6.24.2. You can buy the offiicial update sd cards from the dealer or some pop up on ebay or there is copies available online if your brave enough to try it yourself. I can PM you intstructions if you like .

I thought it had to be done online with the car at the dealer as a cost of over £300. Buddyboy, what did you pay for your upgrade and who did it

I did mine myself last year, I don't know if they have brought out another map since but I have the SD card avalible if anyone wants to buy.

I wouldn't mind some details please guys...keep meaning to get around to updating my software so I can run in-dash SIM and Bluetooth phone at the same time.

If you have MMI, you need K_0770 or newer version, and you have to enable NAD operation mode in the green menu.

Got Audi sat nav fitted new two years ago on A3 from York Audi cost £495 and they now want £299.00 to update - if you find an alternative please let me know - what a rip off!

Basingstoke audi gave me a quote of 190+vat each for the Audi A7 and the Q5. The 2017 maps are not out until early April, so I will wait. Buddy boy has a solution but its too complicated for me to do it myself, but Geodone also has a solution and is closer to me so I will give him a pm.

Hi guys, I'd love some knowledge about how to do this too if possible?

I've just ordered an MMI 3g+ upgrade card to '_0942_' and would love to stop the SatNav showing me drive through fields!
Hoping to take a road trip to France in the summer

Still not sure what to buy. There are lots of different versions on ebay. Sad card or DVD and various versions. Any ideas or would
anyone does this for a living

I have just updated to 942 but now can't get the green menu to open, do I need to re enable it via VCDS after an update?

yes every firmware update seems to disable the green menu again and possibly some other coding that you may have done with vcds. Where did you get the 942 firmware from?

Just bought the latest maps and software from a vag specialist for £150. Its for the wife's A5 as it hasn't had maps or software for 5 years so won't find or show roads that have been there for years

I bought a card off eBay.

Worked perfectly.

I got them from Audi Updates sat nav maps dvd sd card 2017 firmware activation (https://www.audiupdates.com) 3 SD cards. Software, European mapping and the licences.

If you email them they may offer the same deal I got which is £50 less than their website.

I haven't yet tried to install it, that's a job for this weekend.

Yes mate, did it today. Left the car running and blocked it in with my kit car while I worked on it.

Took a while but now has the latest software and 2016 maps. It now finds postcodes it didn't previously and also a certain road that was built before we took delivery now shows up too.

This was for the Wife's A5 by the way.

Yeah I think it was 2016. Not sure if a 2017 version is out?

Very easy to do, there is a 47 page guide with screen shots of everything.
