Tried to remap ecu locked by vw. ??

Hi all I have 2.0 golf Gtd 170 went to have it remapped the other day was looking forward to it then my friend said the ecu has been locked by vw from factory so couldn't map it is there anyway round this thanks for your help

Even a Mk7 GTD isn't an issue .

Maybe has newer level of tuning protection but you can also boot the ecu worst case
