Found this in the little compartment on the passenger side in the boot. No idea what it is. Does anybody know? Looks like a tool to break in to a car lol

If I had to guess, I'd say it was a dent removal tool - the kind of thing the paintless dent removal guys lower down behind a panel to tease out dents?

^^^ i think hes on the money there ^^^
my other thought was part of a lockout kit, or it had a mirror on the end and was used to search for bombs hidden under cars..

Not sure what it is either......but it's not for checking underneath vehicles for bombs....... :)

Could it not be from assembly of the car, especially being a 2017 model.
Might be worth asking your dealer

Doubt it's from the factory, myself, but it does look like a bar for teasing out dents. Loads of new cars are "rectified" at the dealership prior to being handed on to the buyer, so it could have had a dent teased out.

It's to heavy gauge I think to be used to let's call it the unofficial way to open a vehicle...removing a wee dent might be an option although there is/was a bit of grease on the end which is flattened out slightly. Will be at the Dealer for my engine rattle later so will produce the item and get his opinion...

Presented object to dealer on Friday morning. He thinks it;s a device to 'adjust' small dents as was suggested above, yet was baffled why they left it in that space I found it in...to be continued...
