Hello All,
Just got round to fitting interior ambience lighting as per W8 Passat & some Golfs/Bora models. Really easy mod to do, with some excellent write up/instructions on www.esctuning.com (http://www.esctuning.com) and www.ottawa-vdubbing.com (http://www.ottawa-vdubbing.com) . Cost is about £60 (roof light with sunroof control), and can be completed in about a couple of hours. Find myself driving along country roads to get away from orange street lights, just get the best effect from the red interior glow - like being in a nuclear sub - apart from the fact that I can't fire missiles, and the Passat can only go through about 6 inches of water! You ain't finished modding your car 'till you've done this mod... ;)
Cheers,
Trev.

Following your nose through the Ottowa VDubbing site to the Passat forum and the write up will reveal loads of pics and detail :D

The Edition 100 of the Skoda Suberb has blue led lights behind the interior door handles. They look good.

I can remember putting the green LED bulbs in to my Dads 94' Mondeo GLX the ghia had them as standard. The only thing is with the skoda superb and the passat is is there a kit for this and will they fit or will the fit into the standard door handles.

Hi Andy,

Here's a list of the parts required - credit must go to Roccodan from Ottowa Vdubbing though, but by combining this info with that of ECS tuning, you can make up the interconnecting lead yourself (see how much it would cost to buy & ship one from the U.S.)! This enables you to revert back to the original set up, should you change cars later.

W8 Interior light (with sunroof) 3B7 947 106 A 2EN (Grey)
W8 Interior light (with sunroof) 3B7 947 106 A Y20 (Beige)

W8 Interior light (without sunroof) 3B7 947 105 F 2EN (Grey)
W8 Interior light (without sunroof) 3B7 947 105 F Y20 (Beige)

Flat Connector Housing 4BO 971 993 (Female Plug)
Wiring Set (2 off req’d) 000 979 226A (Wires with crimped male pins)
Flat Contact Housing 3BO 972 706 (Male Plug)
Wiring Set (2 off req’d) 000 979 131 (Wires with crimped female pins)

Approx 8ft of 18 gauge (1.0 mm) cable to pick up supply from the back of the dimmer switch.
Hope this helps,
Cheers, Trev..:beerchug:
