Hi I'm new to this and need some help please
I've had problems with a faulty dipped beam headlight so I changed the bulb 55w as per same bulb blue ice xenon, now the new bulb is getting red hot and glowing orange ??
The only thing I can think it may be is that I undid the contacts on the head light to clean them an may of put them on the wrong side but as they are only pos and neg and the bulb only has pos and neg would this cause the bulb to get red hot ?
Thanks in advance for any advice 👍

The bulb does get red hot, an illuminated 55w incandescent bulb will take your skin off. The bulb glowing red suggests the voltage is wrong so this could be a poor earth or a problems with the central electrics computer which is responsible for operating the lights.
