Steering wheel controls and no horn

Evening all

Got an odd problem with my 2011 Superb Elegance Estate Greenline.
This evening i jumped in the car and all was well, but then 10 seconds or so later i lost all steering wheel controls for the radio, MFD etc and also the horn.

After a frustrating head scratching short journey, I turned the car off, locked up, grabbed my fish n chips, got back in the car and it started working normally again, but only for about 10 seconds, before the same thing happened again.

Anyone know what this could be?

can you push in/ pull out steering wheel and raise/ lower the wheel to see if that helps

Unfortunately after trying out adjusting the position of the steering wheel it had no effect.
