AC stuck on ECON mode

1 Fault Found:
00483 - Control Module for Auxiliary Air Heater
013 - Check DTC Memory

Hi guys,

I saw a lot of posts on this but never found a clear indication what might be the problem. The AC is stuck on ECON mode since i bought this car and that is the error I got you can see in the message above. Now I already changed the AC pressure switch to a Denso one, and also changed the refrigerant at a car service place. They said there that it might be an electrical fault.

Any of you might know what is would be the problem? Thanks a lot for your time,

My 07 tdi quattro did this... The aux heater is a red herring i think.. check the fans in the engine bay... Both of mine had failed... Managed to get the cowling out with the fans from underneath and then swapped the individual fans .... Much cheaper than the whole unit.

The aux heater is a bit of a pig to get at but once you have it out you can get the 5 resistors resoldered on the board and it may then come back up... Mine did.
