Cold start rattle 2.0TDi, gone at 1100RPM or warm engine - Any ideas

Wondering if anyone can give me an idea on this. If the temps fall below 6 degrees I get a rattle that sounds low down around the air compressor. Once I rev the engine and get some fluids warmed a little it goes. This is on a 2.0 diesel TDi 2008. Cambelt and water pump were changed last year. Recent oil change and re-gas/re-oil of aircon as I worked with a local garage to try and figure it out. No joy as yet.

any news mate? i have cold start issues but when my a4 does start it also seems to grumble and rattles a little. is fine when left to run for a few minutes, when I rev i get glow plug flashing light in dash. no issues with power.

I thought it was the aircon pulley, but after replacing that, no change. I ended up being in Austria and they fixed it, but had to strip off the front to inspect around the cambelt. They ended up replacing a few bits associated with the cambelt.
