I will be replacing the brake discs and pads fairly soon on my A7. There is a big price difference between Four Plus and Genuine parts from TPS. Can anyone tell me if there is a big difference in quality and whether Four plus is a good alternative or any other brand.

Crasher, do you have a view?

When you say you are replacing them, do you mean yourself or they just need doing? I did the wife's A5 recently and put Brembos on the front. Fitted myself and had over £100 left from the "specialist" quote.

Myself. I am a bit of a diy nut. Just installed an infloor hydraulic scissors lift to go with my pit I had built 15 years ago.

The link explains what I bought. The poblem today is that cars are too reliable so don't use the lift too much. My younger friends like me though.

Very nice!

I got my spares from euro car parts and as I say upgraded to Brembos.

Some of the non Audi discs don't have a coating/paint on the hub part of the disc and within days it will look like a rusty hub next to your shiny wheels. Bear that in mind when picking your discs.
Pads I would also go with a good brand or Audi. Remember these cars are 2 ton barges so pads can overheat/fade quite quickly if they use a cheap/unsuitable compound.
Would agree with Mitchy the oe equivalent brembo stuff is good quality even if it isn't the high end racing stuff people associate with brembo.

Thanks for the info. I only tend to buy from the Audi trade centre called TPS. They supply the genuine part or Four Plus which is Audi for cars more than 4 years old, as the marketing literature says. most garage will buy from TPS, so I was hoping for a view from one of the garages who use this site, whether the Four Plus brand was worth buying.
