one sidelight wont extinguish! HEEELP!

Passat Tdi 130 S, AWX. 03. After giving the inside a quick valet with foam spray one of the sidelights (right hand one) is jammed on!. Checked all switches. In sidelight position both sidelights come on but when light switch is turned to off the offside remains on. Any ideas?. Stumped me.

I had that on a car the other day, we had just done headlight bulbs and the bloke came back saying we had missed a blown sidelight....
