Hi All,
Been lurking around here reading up all I could before purchasing a 2005 Audi A3.
Purchased a nice red 3 door 3.2 Quattro a couple of weeks ago and the car has been great.
Have an outstanding issue with the Alarm Siren and was wondering where the thing was?
From what I researched I believe it is accessible via the passenger side boot panel.
Before I go pulling things apart, can anyone confirm this for me?
Other than that the car has been great!
My current list of things done:
Haldex and DSG service + Spark plugs changed
Transmission mount rubber replaced
Some suspension bushings
CV gaiter replaced
All above done at a great local garage.
Sorted the following myself with the help of the posts here:
Passenger side heated mirror replaced
Driver side door lock mechanism replaced to fix the micro switch issue.
What left for me to do is:
Spare copy of the key and fob done.
Trace an intermittent humming noise I am getting when the climate control is on.
Fix the alarm siren.
Save some £2000K over the next year to cover a DSG or Timing Chain failure ;)
Will gradually replace tyres, suspension, exhaust with aftermarket parts once they start to need replacing.
Car drives well and the 3.2 is fantastic.
