Hi everyone.

Now I know that the 2.0 TFSI Oil consumption issues have come up time and time again - and trust me I've been reading a lot.

My father is looking to buy a 2011/2012 Q5 with the 2.0 TFSI engine - potentially in the 211BHP spec which is as I understand it, affected whole oil consumption issues.

I am however having trouble finding out how widespread the issue was on Q5 cars. Like would buying one be risky to the point it's not worth it? The 225BHP variant isn't affected - from what I understand - but that's pushing the budget a bit too much as either the cars are above the mileage amount he wants or too expensive.

Also are there any other Q5 specific issues we should be looking out for when looking at cars?

I've got a 2012 A4 and he is going from a 2008 A6 2.7 TDI Le Mans to the Q5 (which he has had since nearly new), so should be able to look out for the usual Audi issues.

Thanks,
Chris
