A3 Alarm Problems

I need a bit of help.

I locked up my car, V reg A3, 1.6 over night using the key fob as usual, however when i tried to open the car again about 9 hours later nothing occurred. I have changed the batteries in the fob for new ones but this has not had the desired result. I know that the fob is trasmitting something as i had it tested when i went to get fresh batteries.

Any ideas would be appreciated, as currently i have a dead car!

Hi,

This happened to me too. I changed the batteries and the fob went dead. After trying probably everything, i opened the drivers side door with the physical key itself and voilla! It started working again! Can't remember pressing any of the buttons whilst doing that, just opened the door. Maybe it re-programs the key when you do this. I did also put it in the ignition after opening the door. Not sure if there is a sequence but hope this will help!
