Well never thought this day would come, dad went out in the car to do some errands and while he was stationary at a roundabout, a taxi was flying down the road behind him. Too late to realise he was speeding, hit the car and pushed dad about 2-3 feet foward. Anyway pictures are below.

Sorry to see this Maj, don't think it'll be a write off though...

Hopefully will be repairable depending on the hidden damage. Hope your dad is ok.

Hope everyone is OK.

Just looks like a rear bumper, bumper bar and associated trim etc. to me though.

Nowhere near is that a write-off, if it was 10 years older then may be.

Yea dad is fine just a bit shook up. Alright the cool then boot might need to be changed Aswell. As either side the gaps are different. The most annoying part to all this though is that the dash cam was not working so have no recording of the incident.

It looks like its all replaceable bolt-on parts, I`m sure your car will be fine .

Looks like the crash bar took most of the brunt of the impact (which is good). If you lift the false floor of the boot and look around the trailing side of the boot and the spare wheel well, is there any damage visible there? Compare it with the damage to my last car in this thread: Bash!! (www.vwaudiforum.co.uk/forum/showthread.php/140241-Bash)!!
There are lots of photos - page 2 shows the damage from inside the boot.

My car was repaired even with this level of damage. If you're lucky there may be no damage inside the boot. I suspect they will repair it - just make sure it goes to a good repairer (unlike the sorry tale of my car) :)

Good luck!!

MF.

Unless he had a rear facing camera, you'd not have seen much anyway?

If your Dad was stationary and rear ended there shouldn't be any issues as it is almost always the rear ending driver at fault unless there are extenuating circumstances.

Very unfortunate, and nowhere near a write off, I would try and pursue this through Accident Exchange who specialise in non fault claims as this certainly is and the taxi driver is at fault.

These cars are pretty robust, the below pic is of my neighbours A5 sportback, I thought it was a certain write of but came back 6 weeks later like new.

Whooaaa much worse than mine lol. Yea I have managed to get them to agree on me taking it to dealer. Now hopefully the insurance company and Audi agree on a price to be repaired.

This is the same thing that happened to me a few months back. The chaps Nissan Micra was a write off. 2 weeks later with a new bumper, tailgate etc and mines as good as new.
