Thoughts?

Registered new April 2015

July 2016 - engine oil light came on , oil needed changed at 14,000 miles. £195 was cost.

Nov 2016 - Inspection light came on - Garage want £235 for this. I have not taken it in yet.

Just Checked computer - its says engine oil needs changed at 4,500 miles or 400 days - mileage is sitting at 19,500 miles

So, I pay £235 now and then (probably in February / March) another £195.00 to pay.

Does the above sound correct?

Normally on variable service I think it's around 20k for first oil service this is dependent on how you drive and conditions like cold climate or hot climate etc. Fixed is 10k for oil change regardless of condition.
Then there's the inspection which they check everything and that's around 20k
Based on your figures I would say the first oil change could be right for a variable service.
The inspection I would have expected to be between 18-20k. This might not have included an oil change.
I would have expected the computer to say something like 10000 miles or 350 days there or there abouts.
In my 3rd c7 that's pretty much what I had with them all.
I reckon they didn't reset the service light properly or reset it from variable to fixed but I could be wrong.
