Hi,

since getting my son's 06 1.2 fabia it has pulled to the left by a quite noticeable amount. the tyre wear is fine, and finally I got around to getting the tracking looked at. it showed that the front toe-in was out, and got corrected, but it also shows front camber to be out on both sides.

Has anybody faced similar issues? doing a quick search on the forum, other VAG cars have camber issues, and the camber is not adjustable on many of the models. is this the case, or has anybody had similar and found that replacing things like ARB and other such suspension links/bushes etc helped?

any thoughts, guidance and similar appreciated.

Cheers,

Pete

are the lower ball joint not adjustable on it . 3 bolts, loosen and allows you to slide in or out to alter camber ?

Hi Zolaff - not sure, haven't been under it for a few weeks, but will have another look at the haynes manual tonight to see if there is anything that looks obvious (and then take a look at the car when my son is back at the weekend).

thanks,

Pete

I don't believe they are camber adjustable. If its excessive, or causing outer edge wear its more than likely the rear lower control arm bushes that are worn.

did a quick web search and came across the skoda specific forum with a step by step guide, here - Fabia wishbone bush replacement DIY Guide - Skoda Fabia Technical Guides - BRISKODA (http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/92625-fabia-wishbone-bush-replacement-diy-guide/)

Guess my weekend will involve me getting my lads fabia up on ramps and seeing what state the various bushes are in, but at 110k miles on crappy british roads, there is a fair chance that they will be in need of repacement.

thanks for the replies so far, much appreciated.

My wife's Fabia's were changed at 90k.
They're in the rear subframe, so unless you change them in situ, you need to make sure its put it back it and aligned properly. It will give alignment issue if you don't.
