I came across this site, has anybody else used this? Has complete bulb range for B8 Passat, even LED owners can get white DRL's, fog lights etc here.

Pack Headlights Xenon effect bulbs for Volkswagen Passat B8 (http://www.ledperf.co.uk/pack-xenon-effects-headlight-bulbs-for-volkswagen-passat-b8-p-9857.html)

Have any non-LED owners changed the entire set?

If so, which bulbs, was it easy and what was the end result like?

Are they any good? Had something similar on my Astra and they looked modern and white but couldn't see a thing. Even worse when the road was wet.

Sorry, I should have said that when I asked what the end result was like, I meant from a performance pov. Whiter lights that look better would be good, but it's how much better they work vs the standard non-LED bulbs that I'm really interested in.

Well for a start, the bulbs in that link all appeared to be halogen bulbs covered in a tint/paint to give the cosmetic effect. Basically, if you're going for the cosmetic effect of trying to look like xenon / LED lights, you'll get less performance as the painted bulb will chuck out less light. I speak from experience.

They'll be worse than standard and all you'll achieve is the chav look, so basically don't bother. Under the heading of "high performance" on that same site they do offer the Osram and Philips +130% etc... which ARE worth the money. No fake white look but they chuck out a lot of light that won't dazzle other road users.

Thanks EssexGonzo - good advice. I haven't got the car yet, so I'll see how I get on with the standard bulbs, then change to the Philips +130% later if needed. You're not the first person I've heard say they're good.
