hi all

ive recently purchased a pre regd A6 SE

the car was lovely on first site, but I took for granted that it would have heated seats.

now its getting cold I reached for the heating switch onlu to find it dosent have one.

I spoke to the sales woman who sold it to me only to be told that not all of them have one, and it mast be a 2015 model, as the 2016 models all have them as standard.

my question is

would the seats be heated anyway, and its just a matter of fitting a new control panel for with heated switches

or can I get them retro fitted, cos to be honest it was a must have for me

many thanks

You will need a new control panel and wiring harness from the panel to the heating element in the seats. You need to find out of the elements are in the seats, 90% of the time they are not fitted. Have a look under the seat to see if there are any plugs hidden away. It can be retrofitted, but it 's not a cheap option, you need to find a used control panel (ebay around £100) heating element are around £60 each you will need 4 of them (New Audi), and the harness around another £60 (kufatec.co.uk) Then you will need that lot fitted, I would find a specialist seat trimmer to fit the elements then another company to install the wiring and code the replacement panel. It will also need component protection removing which is around £70 from Audi.
