Can you take a picture of the camshaft and the tappets ? If they hydrolic, there is no maintenance/adjustment. Can you confirm engine code/year ? I could crossreference it with autodata.

Check the valve clearance of the respective cylinder. It must be possible to move the feeler gauge with slight resistance. Adjust the valve clearance by turning the adjustment screw in steps of 180° if necessary.
Valve clearance:
Clearance of inlet valves: 0.2 mm
Clearance of exhaust valves: 0.2 mm
‒ Install cylinder head cover.
‒ Screw on the dust cap of the vibration damper.
Tightening torque: 10 Nm

Hi kenny and thank you for the reply...

Do i have to adjust them in any particular order or get 1/2 rocking and adjust 7/8 etc?

Check and adjust the valve clearance with the engine cold.
No gear may be engaged.
The valve adjustment screws have a detent that audibly engages every 180° when the valve adjustment screw is turned. The valve clearance may only be adjusted from detent to detent. If you set the valve adjustment screw between two detents, then the locking clip becomes loose during subsequent driving and the valve clearance then changes by itself, resulting in engine damage!
Remove the cylinder head cover.
Remove the dust cap of the vibration damper.
Turn the crankshaft in the engine rotating direction until the cams of the cylinder to be checked are pointing upward.
