Flexible Service Schedule

Hi,

When i ordered my TFSI, I requested that it be o the flexible service schedule as my driving is predominantly on the motorway. A bit later I queried if this was the case as the display showed this, which to my simple mind says that it's on a fixed interval:

The dealer responded, adamant that it's on flexible but the car is now saying oil service due in 600 miles (approx 9,500 miles). So, am I having the wool pulled over my eyes or is there no difference in how fixed and flexible servicing shows on the display? And is 9,500 about right for an oil change on flexible servicing?

My car is having it's 1st service today (19k miles) and within the MMI, it's always stated a service at 18.4k.

On my previous B8, a dealer reset the service schedule with the 9.5k miles interval, I queried it and they changed it a few days later to show 18.k ish.
