Swaping position of Climate Control and head unit

By Climate Control unit is below my Gamma head unit. Has anyone swapped them around? Do you need to change the brackets or is it a straight swap?

I want to eventually uograde to a flip out screen head unit and don't won't it obscuring the climate control.
