I recently installed an air cone on my Golf mk5 1.9tdi and shortly after installing I noticed that my car was very jumpy and had no power. I've put the original airbox back on and it's fine again. Why is this do I need a full induction kit for my car to run properly thanks.

Do you reckon an 'air cone' would make any difference to that engine ? You might have upset the MAF sensor by removing the original induction set up.

I know it wouldn't make a difference in performance the bloke who remapped my car said it would make it sound a bit better

Keep the original set up and drill some holes in the lower box front and wing side for some induction noise .

did you leave the amm in place when you fitted this new filter, or bin it. i have even seen people put air cones on after their original filter, thus restricting air flow even more.
