Font Grille removal

Does any one know if it is possible to remove the front radiator grille without having to remove the entire bumper cover (2012 A6 S Line Quattro Avant) - I have had a small altercation with a post and cracked the grille, so wondering if it is an easy swap in/out.

I also need to remove the lower grille, the one just above the lip spoiler which appears to be part of the engine undertray - same question, is that a simple swap in and out?

I think this was covered on the RS246 forum under the RS6 C7 section - people on there are always fiddling with their trim, swapping one bit for another.

It is a bumper off job.

It's a bumper off job. In saying that, you could have the bumper off within 20-30 minutes. There are a couple of screws behind the wheel liner but the rest are easily accessible.
Are you replacing the grill?
