Permanent 12V Supply

I've finally got my car back from being repaired after it was stolen / recovered.
I want to fit a tracking module, where can tap into the loom and get a permanent 12V supply from. I have a 2013 8K A4 avant.
I know there are various current monitoring systems on the car even when it's 'switched off' and locked.
I just wondered if any one had done it before and could save me the time of connecting it all, only to then trip a monitor circuit some where and cause an error.

I have a copy of Elsawin for the car.

Assuming it's a UK car, check the fuse panel on the left of the glove box. Pop off the cover when the door is open. You have permanent live and switched live there.
