Front parking camera

Starting to think someone out there doesn't like me. [emoji23]

The front parking camera on my A6 S Line Avant got smashed this afternoon on the way back from work.

I've only briefly had a look and it's completely had it. Can still use the camera but the cover acts as the focusing lens.

I'm hoping it's a separate component that I can source?

Only queries I have are:

Do I have to remove the front grill to get the old one out and replace it.
Does a new camera need calibrating with the system or is it just a straight swap.

I'm not keen on going to Audi to sort it as I know full well they'll charge a small fortune.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Not sure of your model year, but etka shows a cover cap (this is MY16)

MY12.

Camera still works. It's just the outer plastic cover that's shattered.

Part numbers for MY12, but don't know if the cover has a plastic lens. (You would think they would have something to protect the front camera)

Part number for the camera is 7P6 980 551 C, it I would check with your Audi garage or TPS to make sure that is correct as the price is £196.
