You have halogen headlights? If so, no need to go with 10 or 12000k bulbs, 5000-6000k will do, but keep in mind, that its a bit downgrade for your visibility!

Welcome to VWAF :)

If you retro fit HID bulbs you'll also need to retro fit self levellers and headlight washers and the lamps must be E marked.

Any bulb over ~5000K is not road legal.

Those "new" Osram nightbreakers or hyperwhite should make look better also, should be 5000k i guess.

If you have h7, then its halogen, hid uses d3s in b8-s.

xenon hid

From my expirience, any higher then factory color temp will downgrade visibility when its bad, misty, fogy weather:)...you can test, put 6000k to foglights and drive in "nice" fog...its like using flashlight, you blind yourself:)

Thats something new, some rumor that b8-s who dont have fogs on bottom of the bumper, have bulb for fogs in headlight, but low and highbeam using different bulbs on b8-s one halogen, other xenon, its strange(not sure).

Gotcha, just checked etka, you have adaptive lights, h7 is used as "cornering"!

Yes the H7 is cornering and comes on with sub 20mph turns or indications:

Over 20mph the xenon lens moves left and right. Over 90mph they can move up if you code it.

You can't get the b8.5 with non bi-xenon so it's all halogen or all Xenon

You will need d3s. Osram nightbreakers for maximum output or cool blue intense for a bit less output but a whiter light.

Night Breaker H7 aren't 6000K , lol .

Even the new +130 % Laser will be a max 3700K and aren't as good as the older Night Breaker Unlimited .

Realistic max for halogens are 5000K and that would be a completely blue bulb , with any type of bulb going further up the Kelvin scale you loose lumen output , that's why factory xenons are 4300K .

6000K is an absolute max along with whatever Mercedes have these days to double that to 12000K is chavtastic .
