Apologies if this has been mentioned but has anyone had any goodwill gestures or anything during their recall?

I've just had mine done and for once the service experience wasn't great. I've since been told that the dealer has been offering 'merchandise' goodwill packages and vehicle health checks were carried out. I received neither and no proof of the normal health check report and just an invoice to say the recall was done.

Had mine done on Friday, go a wash inside and out and a free Audi goodie bag full of various cleaning products, also had a test drive in a new A6 Avant whilst I waited and a few free diet cokes, coffee and sweets.

All in all not a bad 2 hours.

So did you take your car in only to get the software update carried out or was it in for a service? If the former, I'd have to ask why you wasted your time and didn't wait until it had to go in anyway...

It was just for the recall and have reasons why the service wasn't done. I was also going to wait as they said it would only be 30mins so I was going to do some work while there, although I was then told the preference was to leave it so took the courtesy car as I normally do with a service

Fair enough. Can't say I'll be rushing to get it done (read I'm not getting it done).

All in all a wonderful experience then. Are you sure you didn't wander into an Alfa dealer by mistake???

Mine has been fine since the update - no noticeable change to anything.

Why do you want a compensation package? What makes you think you deserve it?

Had the recall done on mine at the beginning of the month.. got a bag with screenwash. Wash and wax. Glass cleaner. Plastic cleaner insect remover and sponges etc... but.. the car had to go back when I complained that it seemed flatter when pulling off at a junction and used more fuel.. granted it could have been me being over sensitive... but 2mpg on my usual 35mile commute is 2mpg!! They said they would look at it again for me.... and it's booked in for next week!!!
