Rev counter no moving since replaced

Hi i am new to this site so sorry if this has been asked a million times.

I changed the colour of the dials on my mk5 gt tdi and replaced the needles but i must have turned the rev needle too far or something as it won't move when i rev the car.
Tried searching on web but no help. Looking to sell car soon so really need it sorted.

You will need to send it to a specialist such as forum sponsor BBA reman, it is very delicate work, as you have found out. When we used to sell dial kits in the 80>90's we were driven to distraction by people screwing up their dials, so much so we stopped selling them. With the clocks out the car will not start and a new/used replacement unit is not plug and play.
