Hello. I'm a newbie to the forum and a newbie to VW/Tiguan, and would really appreciate your advice. I've taken a 2010 2.0 TDi S for a road test and loved it. It has 67500 miles on the clock and is in vgc, dealer has replaced 4 tyres, brake pads & timing belt, full checks and service. Offering extended warranty for a good price. Originally priced at £10495, it was reduced to £9995 & I've negotiated a deal at £9500. However another car has caught my eye - 2.0 TDI (140PS) 4WD SE BlueMotion. This is 18 months younger, but has 82872 miles on the clock. Dealer is asking £10995. I'm not going to look/drive this one until Monday & no idea if the asking price is negotiable. Wondered if you guys would throw your ten penneth into the pot & advise which would be the best buy. I'll be looking to keep the vehicle for 3+ years and don't want to end up with a white elephant. Hope you can help as I'm really confused - it's a minefield out there!
