Sony Experia M4 Aqua - email problems

Just taken delivery of A4 2.0 Avant S-Line with Driver Virtual Cockpit and I'm experiencing great problems getting the Sony M4 phone to show or read emails on the screen. It is letting me know that there are emails and the number of emails that have arrived etc., but it will not display them and it cannot read them back either.

I have tried connecting the phone directly using the one of the USB sockets and also via Bluetooth but the result is the same. I have also contacted the local Audi dealer (Bedford) and Audi HQ at Milton Keynes, plus Virgin (the phone provider) all of which have been of little help so far.

Is there anyone out there with some ideas please? Hope so!

I have come to the conclusion that the Sony Experia M4 smartphone is not that smart as it does come with MAP (Message Access Profile) and is therefore not compatible with the current A4.
