Heat Shield above exhaust.....do you need it?

hey

recently had to take off the thin heat shield arching over the cat/front section of the exhaust. this was becasue the clips to hold it on had rusted and it was unstable and needed to come off. should i be trying to either fix this one or get a new one on sooner rather than later??

how important is it??

I had the same problem, i just took mine off and havnt bothered to replace it. Is low on the importance scale!

I had the same thing happen to mine, and it was vibrating against the underside of the car and driving me mad, i took it to challenger where a friendly greasemonkey said, it dont do feckall anyway, rip it off!! that was over a year ago and i've never had an issue with it.
